All Wags Welcome

PARK RULES

Know Before You Go

  • All dogs must be current and provide documentation on required vaccinations: DHLPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. This documentation must be uploaded in advance during the pet profile process. All dogs over one year old must be spayed or neutered - no exceptions. Puppies must be over four months old and have all puppy vaccinations completed.

  • All dogs must be at least four months of age and have completed their puppy shots to play. All dogs over one year old must be spayed or neutered.

  • Guests under the age of 21 are not allowed to bring dogs into the park.

  • Yes! A day pass is a great way to dip your paws in and see how you and your fur friend like the Ruff Canine Club park. Before coming by for a day visit, you must create a pet profile and upload the necessary immunization records. A day pass is $10 and covers one dog.

  • Yes, our hours of operation can change due to weather, and we do our best to respect members’ access as well as our employee’s safety and comfort. Our park is entirely outdoors, so if lightning, extreme heat or cold or any other dangerous weather conditions occur, we will close for everyone’s safety. Follow our social media accounts for updates on weather closures.

  • There is a two dog per human limit for each visit. Please note that the $10 day pass fee is per dog.

  • Yes, but please note that this is not a playground for children. Kids must be dog-friendly and demonstrate they know how to respect dogs or you may be asked to leave for everyone’s safety. Your child must be under your supervision at all times.

  • No, bringing in outside toys can often create toy aggression. We have plenty of free tennis balls at the park that are refreshed monthly by a recycling service. When balls do not smell like a dog’s home or owners, they are less likely to become aggressive or possessive over them.

  • Persistent, antagonistic barking, or frequent humping will not be tolerated. These tendencies can cause dog fights and are generally annoying to our human guests. If your dog behaves in this manner, you will be asked to leave.

  • Nope! Ruff is open to anyone who enjoys the company of dogs and their people. Guests without a dog do not need to pay for a day pass or membership. Just keep in mind, dogs come first here and this is their place to play.

food + beverage

Ruff Canine Club is the only Bar(k) in Richmond!

Refreshments are part of the fun of Ruff and what makes it such a treat for dogs and their people. Our bar features eight taps that rotate weekly, so there’s always something new to try. In addition to our taps, we also offer a wide variety of canned drinks and wine. Our food menu changes seasonally and food trucks are occasionally on site as well.

Please keep in mind, no outside treats or beverages - for dogs or humans - are allowed inside the park. Reusable water bottles are allowed, but glass is not permitted inside the park.

Ruff Canine Club has a well-stocked bar with a rotating draft and canned cocktails so you can stay refreshed and have fun
